North Haven Early Childhood Program


          We are currently seeking typically developing, three-year-old old children to serve as role models for our preschool program located at Green Acres Elementary School for the 2017-2018 school year. The Early Childhood Program is a NAEYC accredited program with preschool classrooms that focus on social, emotional, physical, language, and cognitive development. The Curriculum is aligned with the Connecticut Early Learning and Development Standards. Our early childhood staff consists of certified Special Education Teachers, Speech and Language Pathologist, and Paraprofessionals.


          You must be a North Haven resident for your child to attend the program. There is a monthly fee for all typical role models which are due on the first of each month. Our program has an AM session 8:45-11:20 and PM session 12:20-3:00PM. Parents must provide transportation for their children. Further information will be provided once your application has been received. All applications need to be received by February 24th 2017

The North Haven School District announces kindergarten registration as follows:


Each elementary school in North Haven will be holding registration for incoming kindergarten students. A child is eligible to attend if he/she will be five (5) years of age on or before January 1, 2018. Parents are invited to stop in the school at the times below to pick up Kindergarten Registration paperwork and to set up an appointment for their child to come for Kindergarten Screening in April.


Each elementary school office will hold registration hours on:

January 17, 2017 10AM – 2PM

January 18, 2017 10AM- 2PM

January 19, 2017 10AM- 2PM & 4PM-6PM

January 20, 2017 10AM-2PM

(Weather permitting)



Parents are requested to bring their child’s birth certificates and proof of residency. Proof of residency includes a mortgage/ lease agreement, driver’s license and two utility bills with your current address.
