COST

Residents: The schedule of fees varies according to the course. The range of fees for courses is $ 5.00 to $ 90.00
Non- Residents: An additional $10.00 per course fee will be charged for residents of other towns.
A $5 service fee is charged for all returned checks.

EXEMPTIONS

No fee is required of those persons who are:
• Registering for the Adult Basic Education Program
• North Haven residents registering for the Hamden External Diploma Program.

SPECIAL FEES

• North Haven senior citizens (62 and over) and handicapped adults pay the special fee listed for "senior citizens" under each course description.
• Nonresident senior citizens pay the regular fee but not the additional $10.00 nonresident charge.

TUITION CREDIT

A tuition credit is good for one year from the date of issue minus $5 processing fee.
There will be no tuition credit for single session events.

Persons with Disabilities

Anyone who needs assistance to gain access to classrooms or any other accommodations should contact the North Haven Adult Education office (239-1641 X1913) prior to the event so that the necessary accommodations may be provided. The North Haven Adult Education program is committed to making its course offerings accessible to all. We will work with individuals to support their special needs.

REFUNDS

You may only request a tuition credit. A refund will be issued only if the Adult Education office cancels a course.

WITHDRAWALS

Requests for withdrawals must be received in writing before the start of the second class, at which time a tuition credit will be issued.

CLASS CANCELLATION

Any class may be cancelled for insufficient enrollment or for any other reason beyond the control of the Adult Education Director.

BOOKS AND MATERIALS

Students must purchase books or materials that are required for a particular course.

STORM DAY POLICY

If the regular school day session is cancelled or dismissed early, the evening session will not be held regardless of weather changes. Should snow or inclement weather develop during the day, class cancellation is announced by late afternoon. Cancelled classes will be made up by adding an additional session.
An announcement will be made on on WTNH8 prior to 5:00 PM.
