OUR MISSION

It is the mission of the North Haven School District, in collaboration with students, parents and the community to develop responsible, educated, and productive global citizens who can thrive in an ever-changing world.

Code of Conduct

Students are expected to demonstrate courtesy and respect at all times.  A Responsive Classroom approach is expected throughout the school at all times.

Students are asked to respect their own property and the property of others. Books and other items used in school are costly. For this reason, students are asked to keep their books covered and their desks neat and clean.

Fighting, taking the property of others, vandalism, and acts which endanger yourself or others are considered very serious problems. They will be brought to the attention of Mrs. Cahill.

Gum is not permitted in school.

Hats and bandanas are not to be worn in school.

When passing through the hallway, students are asked to do so in a quiet and orderly manner. Please walk to the right.

Running in the hallway is not permitted.

Students are expected to use appropriate language at all times.

It is important for everyone to demonstrate kindness and understanding.  At our school, everybody is important!

Bullying is not tolerated at Green Acres Elementary School.

In the cafeteria, students are asked to:

...remain seated unless they have permission from the cafeteria aides to leave their tables.

...keep the noise volume at an appropriate level.

...remember that when the lights go out everyone is to be silent.

...demonstrate proper manners and behavior.

...not share food and never give or loan money to another student.

IF WE ALL WORK TOGETHER, OUR SCHOOL WILL BE THE VERY BEST IT CAN BE!
